Strawberry Fields forever, Penny Lane and I Am The Walrus were their best works, I believe. They were not only psychedelic rock songs but also great pop songs. Rain, Tomorrow Never Knows and other some songs were the experimental works using various sound effects such as overdubs, speed/pitch change or reverse playback. They (especially, George Harrison) had also made fantastic sounds, later appeared as raga rock. Moreover, it overlapped with the daybreak of progressive rock. (Off course, Ringo Starr was the greatest of the greatests.)
Throughout this era, the Beatles had achieved their unique arrangement style for their songs. ( I wonder if someone might say some of them were over-arranged. How about Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite! or It's All Too Much?)
Anyway, I've loved the psychedelic era of them most.
I take my great interest in thier musical instruments and their recording procedures.
I'm on my way to follow thier songs by myself. Please enjoy my home page.
Pictures of the guitars the Beatles used.
There may be misinformation or myth, but please enjoy.
