Aesthetics and History of Arts

square icon Upcoming events and meetings Update: 30/08/2009

Welcome to the website of Bigaku Bijutusshigau Kenkyushitsu (Course of Aesthetics and History of Arts) at Kyoto Daigaku Daigaku-in Bungaku Kenkyu-ka (Graduate School of Letters, Kyoto University)!

I maintain these English pages in order to help non-Japanese readers understand a little bit about what's going on in the field of aesthetics and art history in Japan, by informing activities related to our department. I will try to translate as much as I can, but leave those parts in original Japanese (with Romaji) which I think it's too hard or meaningless to put into English. Except terms which have the already fixed English version, the responsibility of the wording lies on the translator.
